Disappointed in watering options I find for sale and can't understand why there does not seem to be anything of great quality and design....I realize not nearly as many folks keep chickens as have dogs and cats but seriously NO ONE offers stainless steel waterers??? REALLY?? Dog and cat bowls made of stainless steel are EVERYWHERE and cheap! Yet comments ridiculing someone looking for stainless chicken waterers suggest there is no market for them and how expensive they would have to be....SERIOUSLY??? The plastic ones I have reviewed so far break and stick and leak like sieves! The galvanized ones you can't put any bleach in....Stainless construction would be LIFETIME! I would happily pay $50 ONE TIME for say a 3 gallon (or even smaller) waterer.... What I notice is that not enough folks are willing to open their mouths and complain and make it known there is a market for something that actually works and lasts! So many people also seem unwilling to buy QUALITY where quality is called for...So yes so long as we all keep putting up with junk that does not last? THAT is all they are going to keep churning out....makes me madder than a wet hen! The waterer I bought at tractor supply is JUNK ...it has awful reviews too but 6 months later they are still selling the same ones ...choice is that or galvanized. And the little drinkers that screw in? I bought several brands and they each have obvious defects in design that might easily have been fixed.....MADDENING! What COULD be a simple satisfying system is instead an exercise in frustration ...and it is NOT just me! Pick a waterer say on Amazon ....any that have a lot of reviews (because just a few reviews are worthless shills typically)...notice there are none with 5 stars. ...click on the lower stars and see why you don't want to gamble on buying that one.... I just find it so amazing that there IS a market for a quality product yet NO ONE wants to satisfy it and make money?? ALL would rather play the numbers and sell crap for easy profit....The one we are using now my wife literally can not take apart half the time because it sticks....rather than threading it in they use fingers that lock into slots ...which grains of sand LOCK it together after one day many times! And NO cap to top fill....the ones that do have a top cap? MANY complaints they break ....just maddenly frustrating to have money be wanting to buy and everything is barely acceptable not going to last more than a year or so??? REALLY?? DANG!

Hi and welcome to BYC. Y/ Coop has given you some links that I hope will help.

This is a useful link of BYC guides to take a look at announcements-feedback-issues-guides.3 I’d suggest including your location using the guide in that link. You can use this link to contact members in your area - Find your State's thread.
