Hello everyone! I'm fairly new to chickens. My first try didn't go very well between the neighbors dog, foxes, and owls. The 20+that survived i gave to a good home. Now i am starting my flock back up.Better prepaired this go around. My dear husband is building me a 16x16 coop, for my 20chicks.11ducklings.Going to have 2acres fenced in so they can free range during the day and lock them in there coop at night. Also have eletric fencing. My chicken family includes 1 brown leg horn,2 golden laced wyandottes,3buff brahma,6araucanas(EE),8black australorps.ducks are 7 pekins 4 mallards. For the duck pool we are going to put a jucuzzi that was giving to us in the ground complete with plumbing. That way it will be easy for me to clean on a daily bases.Plus a couple of kiddie pools. Looking forward to learning and growing with the help of the good folks at BYC.
