I'm not sure who laid this cute littl egg but it even had a tiny yolk inside!

I don't have any layers giving me this dark a shell. Did this happen because the egg was so small?

That's why they call them "Fairy Eggs," because a fairy laid it!

Yes, the dark color is because the egg is small and color is concentrated over a smaller area.

That's so neat! I only got just one fairy egg ever... and I couldn't bear to crack it open. I blew out the contents (which just all appeared clear) and put it on display in a little bird nest I found.


I like the term "Fairy Egg" so much better that "fart egg."

Everyone has been laying for few weeks now. I'm wondering if this isn't the result of the horrible temperature changes we've had here.
