The two I mentioned just seem to be the most common, at least from what I've seen. And people pretending that they're doing great are also doing it for the sake of appearances.
Yep, and some people really care. If you really believe all of this, you need to start associating with a different group of people.

There are people pretending that they are doing fine to not unburden themselves on others making them feel uneasy or overwhelmed. This often is the case when you know that they have a lot on their own plates as it is.

I think there's a difference between simply keeping personal issues private and putting up a facade to appear super joyful.
This thread is for "individuals who feel the same way"

How can one be individual and feel the same way as others? That negates individuality.
There are a lot of people in the world, I'm certain that many share at least some opinions with others.

Maybe a joyful facade comes organically as a coping mechanism. When all else fails, it can be a comfort to be perceived as not failing the happiness test.

I would rather people do w/e they have to do in order to get on with their lives.

As a service industry member, I have certainly employed a “fake it til I make” approach to be the happy server people want to order a steak from. Sometimes I had to screw a smile on. And, I admit after doing so, I did mostly feel better. It’s just physiology.

Maybe people are trying to create the world they wish to see and are just bumbling around being humans who don’t know what they’re doing.

Things have just been crazy. And people are up to the goofiest stuff I have seen in my life. Some of it’s hilarious, some of it’s inexplicable, some of it’s tragic.

All of it is human.

I think I'm happiest when I'm just being me and don't have to explain why I'm just me to a bunch of people that really don't care about me to start with.

I hope everyone has a wonderful sparkly day .... Of course, I may not mean that.
