Fall 2008 Coop Page Contest - Ended

My husband and I built this together this past spring. We took the chicken wire 3 feet under the group and the post are concreted into the ground There is 6 boxes in the back each with it's individual door and lock. Ain't no predators getting to our chicks

There's also a window on each side for ventilation

We are planning on building a turkey coop a little further back next spring.

I have 3 barred rocks named Marion (think 2 are Johns tho), 4 RIR's - all pullets, 2 GL wyandottes, 1 australorp (pullet), 1 hard to say - speckled sussex x wyandotte maybe - Dearie and the Columbian Rock - His Nibs - a roo.

Thanks, we have 10 acres but they really don't roam much at all. They do end up in our yard or down at the pond now and then but they always head back to safety at sundown.
