Urban Mama! Some nice, girl! I think it is great you did it yourself. What a great job you did and such a spacious nice looking place for your chicks.
And Cetawin, the Kingdom of Eggtopia is gorgeous too! I see little crowns in your future - but hey shouldn't it be the Queendom of Eggtopia??? Just wondering...
A million thanks to Buff Hooligans who talked me down from homicide more than once. You're awesome and a great friend!
And thanks also to Patandchickens for cheerfully answering every single ventilation question that I asked of her - and trust me that it was waaaaayyyyyy more than one....Thank you!
I'll have to do a contest next summer - Hubby just told me to design my next coop - got designs but won't eb able to start building until early summer (got too many other projects going, LOL like a pig corral, garage, etc...)
It's gonna be a brooder coop plus an extra coop for whatever I need to throw in there.
I suppose technically it will be a transitional coop - from brooder box, to small cage, to bigger cage, to coop and run. Then they can go free range or go to sale or wherever.
The plan I have here will probably change a bit - in fact hubby already said he wants the run on the other end, so it'll be swapped exactly opposite, but the pics give a good idea of what I got in mind, anyway.
Actually, if the run is on the other side, then there is no door from the outside to the brooder area (cuts down on cold) and a door that does lead outside from the coop/run area.
