Fall crochet block swap, sign ups until Oct 15th

Heck I haven't even done up the squares from the first swap, so I wasn't in a hurry. I just though since they were mailed and there is another person on the road with the same last name it might get misdelivered.

I do get their mail occasionally and phone calls too. I don't know if they get ours.

Kass: Just wanted to let you know the squares came today. This is one of my "drive-by" days where I'm in the house for 15 minute intervals until about 8pm so I haven't opened the box yet.

Just finished afghan for my sister. She has cancer and a bunch of crochet friends donated squares to make this for her in her color favorite... purple. Not only am I doing the winter swap but have a hexagon and one in browns/tans that I am currently making squares for.

This is GORGEOUS!!!!! And so special, your sister is going to love it!!!!!

When I finally got home last night, I opened the box of squares and looked at each one. Such beautiful work! I can't wait to put it all together.

YAY, my box came! The squares are all gorgeous! I'm going thru my stash to find what I want to assemble and border it with! Thank you Kassaundra for hosting. This was fun! Hope you are feeling better too!!

Thank you rancher... just never thought to ask anywhere else but on the Facebook group that set up an event for it. When I went to visit several months ago, I saw another sister that also crochets and she made a couple squares for it too. So she got an afghan with squares from both her siblings that crochet. I also made her a small book that had the return address for all the people that donated squares. There were a few that were sent from a friend in India. My sister went to India on a mission trip several years ago and it tickled her that there were squares in it from there as India has a special place in her heart. She just moved to a new home and got it just in time to take with her.
