I would worry masking tape directly on the blocks may leave a residue, especially if they get hot. I think tagging them w/ a piece of paper w/ your name and then taking a small piece of yarn through the block and through the paper tied off would be a better way to tag them. I think the plastic baggie is added insurance against the potential damages (water) of the post office. The 12 inch blocks do not fit flat in a gallon baggie true. I have folded mine also.Do they have to be in baggies? I got gallon ziplocks and they don't fit flat. I can fold them up and send them but I'm wondering if I could put a piece of masking tape on them with my name? Do I only need to have my name on them?
