Fall Quilt Block Swap due October 15th

Hi all, I'm still here! School started Aug 1 for the kiddos and July 29 for me. I've been pretty tied up, and now I'm going to Ft. Hood next week to see my son Steven. Some of you probably remember him at 16, he's 21, been in the Army Reserves over 4 years now, and is going to Afghanistan, so I'm going to visit him.

I'm glad you didn't need stitches, but the glue was a good idea, used it many times on myself, dogs and yes the chickens, saves a medical/vet bill

So now our blocks have the blood and tears (well maybe just a tiny one Ginbart) so where is the sweat,

Sorry my sick sense of humor is showing.
Sweat? The sweat is here! My own very personal furnace is supplying more than enough heat and sweat for my comfort level!

I GOT IT FINISHED!

I made a pillow case to match. I had two of the other blocks left over and thought they would look nice as a pillow case. That was definitely a puzzle! But its done and I'm so glad! I didn't get to town today to get feed and batteries so I'll definitely be going tomorrow.

Oh hey! I just saw that my husband must have picked up some batteries today while he was out... ok so I was standing on a chair to get this whole thing in one shot. I hope it isn't fuzzy.

And the pillow case... the dark green fabric here actually matches the back of the quilt. It looks semi-brownish in this shot but it isn't in real life.

Thank you to all you ladies who participated in this swap. Without you, this quilt would not have been possible.

Lacyblues, Please let me be the first to say that quilt is fabulous! I am especially impressed by you idea of the half blocks for the border. Have you named and labelled the quilt? Well done, well done, well done. I can't say it enough times, I am in awe and so proud that I had a tiny part to play in your quilt. Thank you!

Lacy Blues WOW how beautiful your quilt turned out. I can actually name the block owners, wow is all I can say. I love the pillow case too. I second what majack is saying thank you for allowing me to play a small part in your quilt.

So now that we have the blood, sweat and tears, we can now classify our blocks as work, so when our DH's say we don't work, oh yes we do we have the proof, blood, sweat and tears!!!
