Fall Quilt Block Swap due October 15th

Oh my gosh! I am so very tired. I've been working on this quilt for days. Yesterday I couldn't hack it, my feet started swelling up and that spelled the end of me and I didn't get much done. Today, I worked on it from about 9:30 til 2:00 when I took a break for about a half hour to have some lunch. Then I got back on it til feeding time so was off from about 5:30 til 7:pm. Had dinner and then went out to close up and started in again at about 9:pm. It's 10:45 now and I cannot make myself go back to it tonight. I have one more star to quilt around and I will be finished with that part of the quilting. This will have to wait til tomorrow when I also need to lay out a pattern to quilt in the final border. Then I'll trim it all up nice and even and put on the binding.

Camera batteries are dead. Hopefully we'll get more tomorrow while I'm in town picking up feed to cover the next two weeks.

I was cutting my fabric today and I cut my finger. The blade went right over my ruler. I was bleeding a lot and I thought my 12 yr. old son was going to pass out.

I was a little funny because all he needs to do is get one drop of blood on him and he needs a band aid. I let it bleed for about a minute and he said, your going to run out of blood. I ask him if he had any crazy glue so I could glue it but nope he used it all. After putting pressure on it for 5 minutes it stopped and my band aid is on. Boy it hurts.

My husband doesn't actually think women should be allowed to use rotary cutters! When we had our quilt shop he used to give people safety lectures before he would take their money!

I'm glad you didn't need stitches, but the glue was a good idea, used it many times on myself, dogs and yes the chickens, saves a medical/vet bill

So now our blocks have the blood and tears (well maybe just a tiny one Ginbart) so where is the sweat,

Sorry my sick sense of humor is showing.

Note to self use fabric only to test rotary sharpness, can be very detrimental to the health of the digits. Ok I'll quit, I'm bad now I will go play with my 25 pallets I got for free to build my chicken house, I desperately need to build one since I lost one in the flood and my girls camp out where ever they like, since they don't like to go into the small chicken house except to lay eggs. I have been very lucky nothing has gotten any of my girls, even the baby chicks.

. Some of the girls go into the house at night but 13 of them and the 2 turkeys camp out in the back, roosting where ever.
