Fall Quilt Block Swap due October 15th

Lacy blues- It is a beautifully placed quilt! I believe a brighter green binding would be perfect to balance the darkness of the sashing. If you add a 2 1/2" border sash and plan to do the brighter green binding, lay out a 1 1/2" strip of the binding color to see if you like the layer look. (i.e. quilt top, 1 1/2" bright green strip, 2 1/2" border sashing in same color as in quilt top, then the bright binding.) Seems like adding a lot when ready to see a finished product but sometimes the small bright strip ties in the binding color if it isn't a fabric used in the rest of the top. It is already an awesome top:)

Btw lacy blues- my husband asked when 'I' made that quilt! My sewing room carpet looks the same, I had to prove to dh that our door opens to the opposite side because to the left is our computer desk (corner looks our desk too!) And our door is white. Funny isn't it?

Ok, I did a quick graphic of what I think you are saying. I was able to turn the quilt right side up once I got off BYC...

This first picture... is this what you are saying? A bright green border followed by the dark green border with bright green binding?

On this next one, I continued the dark green sash to the dark green border and then added the bright binding. I'm not sure this looks right either.

Doodling some more:

Or the same with a wider border?

And my original thought:

I like the 4th style picture best, what size block did you use for your posts? and how wide is your strips between the blocks? I was going to just sew mine together but that is pretty

I really like the 4th pic best, but looking at the greens again, the bright green maybe too bright , but we are only getting a snippet of the quilt how does it look around the whole quilt? and colors over the net are different.

Dark green strips are 2-1/2 inches before sewing.

The bright green is just something I added for the example. It's not sewn on at all. I would still need to get fabric for that and the full quilt is on page 29.
