Bairo,
How far are you from St. Louis! If someone is willing to take the initial trip to Raleigh, we could probably take a few off her hands by meeting in TN. Also if she has a facebook page have her post on there as well, also maybe contact her county or 4H club.Just ideas.

Let me know if something like that is an option.

i am willingto take a few birds to help out the lady's situation. Have emailed you Patrick. If anyone from the Matthews area wants to share transport email me.

Gavin.

Gavin,

I have pm'd you and called you. It sounds like a great idea, but we can also transport some for others in this area.Maybe some people want to cherry pick her birds to help but live way to far down in sc or georgia.

Has she called you or emailed you yet???

i emailed her right away when this was posted. She told me she had just a few birds left ( from 1,000?? ) She said they were mostly males and she was taking them to the flock swap in sanford, nc this weekend. I asked her about some specific animals and meeting her there, but she has not responded. I was willing to pay, but have not heard from her.

I posted the wrong email.

It's just [email protected]

And she may have decided to keep more of the birds, gotten rid of many since the last time I talked to her (before the holidays), or may have just been referencing the chickens. The 1000+ number was ALL the fowl she had. Either way I hope she has downsized. I know it was really stressing her dealing with so many birds. Thanks so much to everyone who helped, offered to help, and wished they could help! She's really a great lady and I hated seeing someone sacrificing their health for the health of their animals.
