Fancy Guppie Breeding!

Gosh, that is so cool! You must make a lot of money selling extra babies!
Thanks! Kinda. Lol.
You're welcome. I sent you a PM, so please PM me back on that.

Sending 20 is just fine, thank you!

Ah, you have feeders...what like Cories or other cat type fish? Yes, you're right, they will eat them, so I'd just go ahead and keep the babies separate. You can also buy tank dividers if you wanted, to give the shrimp more room. Either that or just keep them in those box type things that you use to separate mommas and babies.

Yeah, I liked the name Apple too and I thought we were all set on that name, but then my husband suddenly decided that he didn't like it anymore, so we changed her name to Daisy. My daughter then wanted to change her name to Bella, and while I think that's a pretty name, I've known a lot of Bella's 'cause I use to be a dog groomer, so I'm kinda Bella'd out, lol! So she's staying Daisy, lol!
Cool. No, they are like feeder minows or something like that. I put them in to see if they will breed. But nothing so far. I will put the shrimp into the bigger mesh floater tomorrow. Lol, I keep saying "tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow..." lol. Going to enjoy my b-day today, and just feed the fish, but relax and enjoy my party! The alge will be there tomorrow. lol

Aw, I like Daisy! I had a dog named that. She was a sweetie pie. She died about 9 years ago though.

I have a pic I will find it and scan it so you could see it.

Lol, put Abby and McGee in with the mommas today, as well as the tetras. Ha ha! Pearl was just staring at McGee like he was some kind of strange being from another planet! He had enough I guess and nipped at her... Lol, no one got hurt, so it's funny. OH MY GOSH though, When I carried McGee like 6 feet across the room, he took a leap out of the net and onto the table. Darn hardest things to pick up! Got him though, and he's fine. So, sending off 20 to @Chickenbutwut (Aka Tammy) on Friday, and Jason next Friday! So excited. BUT... What do you guys think about me freeing up room in one tank to breed Mollies??? I would still breed Guppies, but I want to do mollies too. AND they have them for $1 at Petsmart!!!! Please let me know what you think! I have bred them (not intentually) before, and they are easy. Would anyone like to buy some if I do? I think in my little old town, Mollies would do better selling. But remeber, I will still have/breed guppies, just smaller scale. I will only let my 3 best females mate. :) thanks as always.

Ooh, I think you would get a lot of money from Mollies. They come in so many different color variations, like guppies, but I find them much hardier. I have raised some before. I think you should try it.

Thanks @Muffin! I am going to get them today... 1 male and 1 female of balloon bellies and 1 & 1 of like the mickey mouse mollies! Yay! Going about 4pm. Got a lot of re-arranging to do before then!

Cool! Have fun! Just a suggestion, Balloon Mollies are quite a bit more fragile then other strains of molly, so it might be a good idea to add a little stress coat (if you have any) to the water when you get them. If you don't have any, I wouldn't worry, just keep an eye on your cute lil' guys as they settle in.

Yea, I put some in. I feel bad now, I read that it is a deformity in them to be like that...

Do you think I should still breed them?

Here are the new babies!
(My g-ma couldn't help but to get two for herself. They are the ones in the bowl...)

"Checkers"

No name for now :(

''Puff"'

"Minnie"

"Mickey"

And my fave, "Blaze"!

Oh of course! If nobody bred them, there wouldn't be any, and they are easily one of the cutest fish. My favorite one is "no name". He/she is really pretty.

Okay, they don't seem to be in pain. And they are not really badly deformed. I like the no name one too. She is a cutie... And pretty.

What size tank/bowls do you have them in? Are they in with your guppies? I had them in the same tank before, and they got along just fine. It was really nice to see all the different colors/sizes between Mollies and Guppies (and Platties, I had those too.)
