got fans in all three. One has two because of its design...I actually prefer dealing with cold temps rather than the heat. Never lost a chicken to even subzero temps but have lost a few to the heat.

I have a box fan in the coop for those hot hot days. I also put out shallow pans of water for them to stand in if they want as well as hose down the dirt in the run when needed. I was sooo worried about the seramas staying warm I went out and bought them a heater for winter.

Yep, got a box fan and the run covered with a blue tarp. Even then, the girls stampede out when I let them out into the shady backyard in the evening. We lost our Cuckoo Marans hen, Zelda, to the heat last year, so we don't risk it.

It's been so hot lately that the favorite wallow out in the yard is right below the hose bib, where the water leaks a bit. I haven't got the heart to replace the gasket yet.

They have AC, the fan kicks on at 85*, the cooling kicks on at 95*. We got cold tolerant breeds, and it is so humid here the mist only makes it worse. We hit 108* last week, the crew still were out, but they got hot, they went to the coops.

Thank you so much !

We have several of those laying around here, but find them too big, too powerful to use in a typical size chicken coop. They are older though, from older commercial houses, so I don't know about the electricity issue.

There's a place in Cove, Arkansas that sells supplies to the commercial houses, I'll bet they have them. I'll try to remember the name of the place and PM you if I do.
