Everything's fine -- I was talking about my injured pullet, Erythrocyte. She was attacked by a hawk on Tuesday.Uh google didn’t help much...what? Is everything ok?
Oh. Good to hear that your ok but sorry about your pulletEverything's fine -- I was talking about my injured pullet, Erythrocyte. She was attacked by a hawk on Tuesday.
How do you even begin to pronounce that?Erythrocyte
Thanks. She's been recovering really well, but I don't know when I'll be able to let her back out -- she's missing a bunch of skin on her neck, so it would be easy for her to get infected from something outside, or for the other chickens to peck at her and damage her even more.Oh. Good to hear that your ok but sorry about your pullet
"Er-ith-roe-site."How do you even begin to pronounce that?
Poor girl.
What does that word even mean?????"Er-ith-roe-site."
I tend to pronounce it as "Aer-ith-roe-site," but I'm guessing that my mother's pronunciation above is the correct one.
I sometimes call the pullet "Eri," or "Erith," (the latter pronounced like the Final Fantasy VII character's name) for short.
