you know what, I thought the sticks you showed me were feet. This is not right, other one is right
Pics of existing run?I'd like to give my girls some more space, but I don't think my parents will find it necessary....I'd like to get some welded wire and T posts to expand their run.

They currently have 64 square feet of run space (6x6 + 6x5) and 24 square feet of coop space. If you do the math, that means that they have 16 square feet per chicken in the run. I'd like to add either a 6x3 or 6x4 addition off the side wall of the run. The orange dots are the crosspieces in the run walls. The pink dots are where I'd put the T posts. the purple is showing existing doorways, and the orange is showing the proposed new doorway. That panel of the run has a crosspiece going halfway up vertically, and then one at halfway going all the way across horizontally, making a weird T. I was thinking I could put a door in one box that the T makes. Obviously they'd only have this access during the day. having an extra 18 or 24 square feet of run space means 82 or 88 square feet of run space total. With four birds, that's 20.5 or 22 square feet per bird, but if I add those three chicks that I'd like, then it's 11.5 or 12.6 square feet per bird. I'm not sure if my parents will be behind this, though. Supplies I'd need:
Hinges (2)
Latch
wood (roughly 11 feet)
T posts (5)
welded wire (14ft)
and bird netting (18 square feet)
Unfortunately the home depot website is down, so I can't look at prices, but I think it'll be around $75.
Baby chick supplies are around $200.
I get $5 allowance every week, and if they let me go through with the teespring shop, I"ll divert all of that income to this. I'm trying to convince for chicks at the beginning of September.
Thoughts?
