I think that you're missing where it says '6 m' because it's not actually been three full years since July of 2018. It's been 3 years since February 9th, but anything beyond that won't be 3 full years.

The 6 months shouldn't really be included. 3 years has passed since I had her.

Calculators rarely lie. I was taught this trick years ago to get the correct age of something.

No. If a child is 5 and a half years old, that’s 5 years and 6 months. However, we round that down to 5 years, and so your bird would be considered 2 years until her 3rd birthday
