I have two Lionheads.

I breed, have some for pets, some for meat, and very few are rescues.

The breeds I have now are around 7 mini rex, and 2 rescued lops. I breed only mini rex as I am kinda against cross breeding. I have 4 litters, with 2 on the way.

I usually breed rabbits for 2 reasons:

Quality & Health: Mini rex is a SUPER common, and easy to breed rabbit. And many people love them as pets. So, many people breed them just for money. This leads to poor quality and health problems from mass breeding. So, the main reason I breed to to improve health, genetics and coat quality of mini rex.

Profit: This may sound like im one of those "i want money" breeders, but this isnt the case. I actually price my rabbits at a medium price so its generaly around 30-50. The reason I price this is so its not incredibly expensive for say 4h members, or show member, while its not to expenvive for pet rabbits either. Another reason is the profit I make from selling them helps with the fees of taking care of them, like housing, baby formula, nest boxes, hay, water and feed bowls, nail clippers, etc. Trust me...i make barely any profit to benefit myself. Besides, I put a lot of my money ino my rabbits anyways lol.
