He kept getting out of the run, into the yard where he could become a snack for a hawk, eagle, fox coyote ect.

But wouldn’t tethering him make him a much easier target if the run doesn’t have a too and cage can’t get away?

He was tethered in the henhouse next to the feeder, & waterer.

I didn't have time to set up a cage.
