So, this summer I’m going to earn money by mowing. Currently, I have about 700-1000 dollars saved (I’m not entirely sure) but I’m going to buy a run extension, and incubator, and hatching eggs sometime within the next year.

oh my gosh the Nurture Right 360 is only 150 dollars.

What do you do when you want to hatch eggs but you won’t be able to keep what you hatch? I badly want to incubate but don’t have room for many more birds right now as you all know.

Just wondering, how do you sell chicks? @Corbdee how are you doing it?

I hope it's a young cockerel. Any tips for raising a friendly rooster? Besides the point it could just be genetics that make him mean...

It really varies on the rooster. I’ve heard to never interact with them, like never hold and coddle them.
Yet Mini is my sweetest chicken, and has never so much as pecked me. And he’s been handled/coddled A LOT since he was a day old.
Then my other rooster, was given pretty much no attention. Never handled, and only ever held a few times as a chick. Yet he is extremely human aggressive.

Well you can sell chicks on craigslist easily. But if you get certified you can ship chicks and eggs.

I’ve heard that too but it’s not true from what I’ve seen. Any rooster that I’ve had that hasn’t been handled has turned out mean. It’s best to handle them, just don’t be handling them so much that they think your part of the flock.
