I have a broody situation too. My mom's OEGB stashed eggs somehow without me noticing for a week, & now I will soon have to find homes for the chicks.

Does broody mean they are getting ready to have chicks like is that the word for pregnant in chicken lol

it's when they sit on eggs for 3 weeks to try to hatch babies
except there are no babies because we don't have a rOOSTER

Broody is when they want to hatch chicks to become a mother. I guess you can compare it to being pregnant if you want.

Taking short breaks

Eating less

Drinking less
