Giving the standard coop a bit of a Renovation. Removing old faulty nesting boxes my grandpa created originally, I put crates to use as nesting boxes last year because I got tired of eggs rolling off the board.

Well, no more crates for nesting boxes anymore. Got a head start on the back wall yesterday. Tore down the old nesting platform, & set up the first two actual nesting boxes. Gonna demolish the other one on the front wall, & set up the last 3 nesting boxes later.
 
Do you think it would be a bad idea for me to do it? Button quail incubation is 16-18 days I think.
I don't think it will hurt. Most people say not to, because they believe it disrupts the hatching position. Never had an issue.

I usually do little check ups to monitor their progress. Doing this will also identify who has died.
