Merry Christmas a day late!

Hey, @black_cat, long time, no see! Glad you're still showing, and I'd love to see some of your photography. (That was my major in college, back in the "film and darkroom" days.)

How is Finn doing? Do you still have chickens?

That's cool that was your major! Did you end up doing a career out of it?

Yes, but not as a photographer. I worked in professional photo lab for about 20 years. I saw the demise of the darkroom, the rise of digital photography, and know for a fact that "having a camera" does not make someone a photographer.

I saw some absolutely STUNNING images; even more that were horrible. And most were in between. Some of the most memorable great ones were not technically perfect. Having access to the best equipment doesn't guarantee the best photography. But if you can learn the technical stuff, get decent equipment, you are much more likely to end up with good results.
