Farm chatter

Whoa, that's a huge tattoo! It's beautiful! Did it hurt a lot? I'd like to get a tattoo, but only a little one. One of my friends and I made a pact that if we're still friends in 20 years, we'd get matching tattoos. I think that it'd be reasonable after 26 years of friendship. (the 20 years doesn't reflect how far I am from tattoo age in case anyone is trying to figure out my age)
if 20 years was related to tattoo age, youd be -2 soooo yeah :gig

it did hurt. my artist used a numbing spray that numbs open wounds but does nothing to closed skin, so every spot got to hurt at least once, but when he was doing a lot in one area, it was numb. he said hes an artist and doesnt want a potentially squirming canvas whether you think you can handle it or not. I did it across 4 visits partly to space out healing and partly to space out spending money.

@black_cat it heals a zilllllion times faster than a piercing
I've had my ears pierced for years, but that wasn't an awful experience because it was so quick. I feel like a tattoo would be worse because it takes much longer (even a small one). I'm generally- not afraid, that's not the right word- but I try to avoid pain whenever possible, as I have a low pain tolerance. I've started trying to build it up by ripping off band aids instead of waiting for them to come off.

i had mine done several years ago to. There aren’t many good places to get them done here, so I ended up going to a tattoo parlor. Very sketchy. The man used an actual needle in my ears (it was meant for piercing though) and I remember the whole time regretting my choice :lau
