How do you explain the walking past doors when they're open (and I'm NOT chasing her, this is when I'm standing 5 or so feet away and she's completely calm) and the struggle with using a ramp? and when she tries to walk through the HC when there's an open door right next to it?

She may have problems with her eye sight.

The other three are all RSLs. Let's go from smartest to dumbest....
Smartest of the red ones is Poppy. I don't have any good solo pics of her, but in this pic, she's in the back left.....she was molting oddly and looked like she forgot her scarf!! She has the most speckles on her saddle and back feathers. She's the best squatter, but doesn't like to be held. 3rd best layer.

Now for Ruth. Her full name is Ruth Bader Chicksburg. She was named because we thought the white feathers on her neck looked like a lacey collar. She's the one that's accepted her fate to be cuddled cuddliest and the second easiest to pick up. Likes to sit on the little roost I have in their run. Her favorite treat is watermelon. She's the 2nd best layer. She's also very photogenic.

Now for Round Chicken......she's dumb as a box of rocks. She hates being held and while fast, often runs into trees while trying to escape cuddles, which disorients her and makes her easy to grab. She's a bit of a loner- she doesn't stick with the others as much. She often walks past doors trying to go through them. Took her a while to figure out the ramp up to the coop. Her name is Round Chicken because when we first got her, she had no tail, and was therefore very circle shaped. It was originally a nickname because we couldn't think of a real one but it stuck.

sheep are absolutely terrifying when it's dark and foggy and they come up and headbutt you from behind and I sWEAR they grew four inches since the morning-

I think it was 5 months ago? I agree, they're all looking MUCH better and their clipped beaks have grown out a bunch.

Ehh mine do that too sometimes. They will just pace the run back and forth instead of going out the door on the other end because their friends are right outside the fence on that end so they don’t comprehend to go down and out LOL some chickens are just dumber than others

I’ve had several different ones do it before and then other smart ones figure it out right away. Theyre definitely not blind

The rectangular pupils help nothing. XD
Especially when you are trying to catch them. Gives them 270 degree peripheral vision.
I've ridden sheep before. Not voluntarily. They are fast, and to catch them you have to trick them with treats, and then lunge at them. XD XD
I get dragged around the pasture. New grass stains in the jeans LOL.

I'm currently trying to train the kitten to stay off the table.
