FARM CHATTER ALERT :So I was bringing in Shadow for the night (She’s my barn cat/part time house cat) and when I went to the porch to get her, she was already there. But when I looked closer, I realized that she was WITH ANOTHER CAT!- There is this grey cat who hangs out in my garden at night who I kept seeing on my cameras. (S)he stopped showing up for a few months so I thought the worst, but here (s)he was! Standing in front of me for the very first time. Not only that, but SHADOW AND THE GREY CAT WHERE SNIFFING NOSES? I think that’s a friendly cat thing, but it was so unexpected! When the Cat saw me, (s)he backed up and ran back to the garden. Shadow walked past me and went into the house, but I stayed outside and tried to call the cat over. I think it might be a stray, since it lives to close to us to belong to Shadow’s parents owners (who accidentally bred their two cats and now have 14 to deal with. 13 now that I have Shadow) plus all the cats from Shadow’s litter, and the other ones, were socialized and love people. But I guess that this could be one of them, just a bit more skittish than the rest. Anyway, I left out food, and went back inside since the cat ran off. I will check the cameras and see what Shadow and the Cat were doing (Shadow is fixed, so if the cat is a male there’s nothing to worry about. I meant I was wondering if they were Interacting)
In the morning I’ll update and let everyone know if (s)he came back to eat it. Maybe I will find a way to upload the camera footage to if I find anything interesting was recorded.
