@CluckNDoodle I just realized that I know nothing about you aside from you like peppermint candy canes.........what kind of birds do you raise? What breeds? How big is your flock? What other animals?

I'm apprehensive about anything that lays frequently enough to be high risk for reproductive issues

and I'm hoping to stay away from white because free range

I did lose my Whiting True Blue to health issues but she's the only one. It was a fluke. My friend has her sisters and they're doing great and I'm friends with the breeder and her flock is old and she hasn't had any crazy issues.
