Sticky for short?
I would’ve suggested a maremma/sheepdog but then I realized they’re too nice and friendly. How about a husky or a shepherd or a bloodhound (if you’re crazy enough for the howling) or something like that?I think I want a dog. A bigger dog breed that barks. I wanna keep stuff AWAY from my poultry coops.
I think that rescues are better for pets, and getting a herding or generally protective pure puppy is good for an LSG bcause of the training thing.I was thinking one of those breeds. Or maybe a rescue. Then again training an adult dog seems hard.![]()
Do you have cameras? Neighbors? This certainly doesn’t seem alright! I have a feelings it’s a neighborhood who’s tired of the crowing. Please make sure to lock up and protect all your birds tonight! Especially roosters!Neck feathers we ruffled upwards towards his head, neck skin, & neck were stretched out, legs were out. No wounds. Yes I'm 100% sure it was a person that killed my bird.
X2. That just makes me mad if someone did thatI’m so sorry he died @MysteryChicken. That is terrible that someone would do that.
We have one neighbor, who is abit of a jerk, but not towards the chickens. Just my dad, & grandpa so I know it wasn't him. We're out in the country, where we're surrounded by other chicken owners.Do you have cameras? Neighbors? This certainly doesn’t seem alright! I have a feelings it’s a neighborhood who’s tired of the crowing. Please make sure to lock up and protect all your birds tonight! Especially roosters!
I'm so sorry. That would break my heart.Sad news. I found my Big Boy dead in the henhouse with his neck wrung. This wasn't an animal killing, he had no obvious wounds. No sign of a bad rooster fight either.
This is the first time this kind of thing happened.I’m so sorry he died @MysteryChicken. That is terrible that someone would do that.
