Farm chatter

oh my godd I just thought my hen was dying. I walked in and her vent was all poofed out and super noticable and there was some stuff on it so my brain went to all the egg laying problems hens can have.... nope, she was just literally pooping

My grandpa wouldn't let me bring a bird inside the house.
I’ve had chickens LIVE in the house (Joy), and all of mine are raised indoors, at least until week 4. My mom has bad allergies and they act up a lot when we keep chickens Indoors, so this summer, my pullets lived in the garage after they turned 4 weeks.

that honestly made me laugh so hard

I would just be really unhappy if I trimmed or blunted them and then he got attacked by something and couldn't defend himself.
When I trim spurs (I've only had to do it once) I used the plier method and twisted off the outer casing. A little bit of blood stopped up with some corn starch and he was all good and ready to protect his ladies the next day.
I think that he should be Captain something. Pics? I'm thinking Captain Cadbury, or Commander Cadbury.
Hmm. I like those... Lemme grab some pics.

THD, I loved the run pics ;)

BC AND FUCHSIA IF YOU GUYS SAW EACH OTHER THAT WOULD BE CRAZY.

@OneHappyRooster and @CluckNDoodle ......
I got a giant peppermint stick during errands today... Thicker than my thumb and probably 10 inches long.
I'm sucking on it right now :lau
