This girl appeared injured. You see her wing looking off, sticking up and bent. I didn’t get a good look so I’m not sure if there really was something wrong with it. Luckily, she was acting fine normal and happy.

One duck had a feather stuck in her nose. The little girl from the family I saw thought it was the funniest thing. She chased after her and told her parents all about it

I'm having such weird feels haha. Selling my girls to a new home feels almost like I need to vet owners whereas selling the boys to be processed doesn't affect me as much. Cause like... even if the people are not good people, the rooster is not living in a bad environment because it's dead. But a hen will have to live forever in the new place. Feeelings.

I just came back from the duck pond. Let me get the pics. I counted 48 birds. Many more geese than ducks. The numbers have changed a lot over the years.

The good thing is that the ducks LOVED my snack! There was another family there that had bread so I talked to them and gave them some of my mix to throw instead. The little girl had a blast throwing it like confetti

but my one white hen just calmly hangs out on the roost... as if she has learned that I don't ever chase her because i won't sell her.
