my best friend hates celery and has threatened my garden if I plant it of course he'd have to actually come over to know if any were there which isnt happening because he has a full time job, a GF and a house under construction.

anyway

things I'm supposed to plant inside about now are eggplant, basil, marigolds, kale, brocolli and cabbage

I've never tried planting eggplant this early. I thought they were summer plants. I mean, I've had pretty good success with them but now I'm wondering if I can get a head start. Lol

Their taste is very pungent, in a good way. Very mushroomy in gravy. They're also called bacon, or pork mushrooms. If they're fried to a crisp, & lightly salted they taste like bacon.

Oh yum! I normally hate mushrooms, but maybe I'd like these!

Once all this snow melts, I'm gonna ask our neighbor Ray, if he has scrap wood he's doesn't need.
He's been building his house over the years. It's more interior stuff he's working on, & not outside anymore as far as I can tell.
