Speaking of Dobies, I'm potentially adopting another doggo, he's 4 years old, 75% Dobie and 25% German Shepherd.

That dog will need LOADS, and I mean LOADS, of exercise and mental stimulation.

Oh wow, I didn't even notice the dilutes! I thought that they were the dominant colors but in different lighting I totally see it now, though!

Do you prefer them visually as well, or just because of the medical reasons?

I like all the colors. I prefer them to not have extra health issues.
They already have one major issue that kills 40% of them. The Doberman suffers dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) more than ALL other breeds combined. That is a staggering rate.

Out of the five I've lost, three died from DCM.
Two had sudden death.
One I didn't even know had it until she literally dropped dead at my feet. She's the little red one with cropped ears. Bridget.
