Farm chatter

Good morning everyone.

Today's day 17 of button quail incubation. I'm kind of concerned, but I know they can hatch around day 18 too.
I just looked up the lockdown day for button quail, & lockdown for buttons is day 14.

That's ok.

If you mean seeing the whole eggs move, then no. Every few hours I've been shining a flashlight on them through the incubator, would that make them wiggle? Would they only wiggle if they're internally piped?
Wiggling happens as the chicks work their way to the aircell. They also wiggle internally pipped.

Oh, ok.
If you're worried, give them a quick candling to check for movement?
Won't hurt them? Maybe if I post pictures of a couple of them would people be able to see if they're close to internally piping?

It doesn't hurt. I do routine check ups on my eggs during lockdown.

You could do pictures also.
