Farm Pigs as Pets?

This may sound like a silly thought, but is it possible to keep farm pigs (like a berkshire, hampshire, or yorkshire) as a semi-house pet? It's not uncommon for people to keep a pot belly pig as a housepet, and in movies with big breeds of pigs, the large farm pigs seem quite intelligent. Would a large breed of pig have less of an odor if it was neutered? Do people not keep them only because of their size? Thanks!

I would say that size is the biggest problem. It's kind of hard to fit a 600lb animal in your living room. But I've known many people who have bottle raised a piglet and then moved it out to the barn so I would think that having adequete space in your yard you could keep one as a pet.
