Speaking of "Farm dog" names,... 6 years ago my cousin moved into his parents farm house after they built a new one. There was an Australian Shepherd pup hanging around as we were moving them in. My cousin kept saying that he needed to get rid of that dog. I told him that he needed a good farm dog & proceeded to call the pup "Farm Dog" for the rest of the day. 6 years later "Farm Dog" (his real name) & my cousin go everywhere together.
