This is Gertrude - she was fathered by a Naked Neck who carried the blue egg gene (therefore a Naked Neck Easter Egger) Her mother was a silkie


Tina - Her mother was the same silkie as Gertrude's mom. Her father was a barred rock, or a barred rock mix. Not quite sure.


Phoenix is full brother to Gertrude so was fathered by a Naked Neck who carried the blue egg gene (therefore a Naked Neck Easter Egger) His mother was a silkie

What kind of a duck is that? Very pretty. And love the peacock! I wish ours was that tame. I don't think our peafowl was ever handled much.

Here's my crew today, with Rat the Kitten "assisting" by scaring the chicks.

My little self-blue and the random easter egger, Spot. I'm really starting to like this little Spot. I'm hoping it's a she.

It was EXTREMELY difficult to get all five chicks to stay put for a group shot. This is the best one....and we're still missing one face.

Yes same pullet.

She hasn't started to lay yet, and I suspect will be one of the last to lay. Her sister Tina already has reddened wattles & comb, but Gertie isn't even close to her development yet. She's still only 19 weeks though
