Seems to be colder where you are at the moment..Our temp right now is 39.2 F (4 C) swinging down to -0.4 F (-18C) tomorrow morning.

Any Eskimos out your way lol?
lol....Nope...

. .....but I think I am part Eskimo back there somewhere....

. I love the cold! I don't like to be cold, but love to be out in the cold dressed for it. I have assembled the perfect outfit of stuff to battle any harsh cold is thrown at me while choring....and it does involve $10 lined jogging wind pants....lol.

Our temp now is - 14 with a windchill of -40 but, NO animals being born.

3 ACRES are you REALLY writing a book (I hope, I hope) you are much more exciting than "All Creatures Great & Small" by James Herriot.

lol....I don't know??? I think it would be a lot of work for me to be the only one that buys it and shows up at the autograph sessions....lol. I do think about someday making a big coffee table book. ...with lots of pictures and one or two word things.... like quotes, mini stories, tips and info. I really trying to work towards getting a draft horse team and be packing salt and mineral with mules and having a lot more cows and more critter species. So maybe when I gather all that stuff and take pics of it all I may do something???

I am learning a lot! Shoot, I got to looking and I have baby pigs possibly coming in a couple weeks...lol. Time is flying and these are planned to come at this time....

. First time for me to have them born here, just like these baby goats coming! I'll have some baby pigs to take pics of!

Stay warm!

I agree 3acres,

I love to be out in the cold when dressed for it. I used to walk year round in all types of weather but I think I got cured . So I have quite a collection of stuff for everything winter can throw at'cha, neoprene face masks, ear warmers, neck gators, gloves, gloves inside mitten stuff,

I have waterproof snow pants but didn't know you were supposed to go up a size, to wear them over thermal underwear. So I just use the snow pants alone. I love the LLbean fleece lined jeans - I've used them for years, sadly I go up a size each time. I always say I'm not ordering a bigger size - I have to diet to fit them. But, when jack frost is nipping I relent.

Heat is a different animal, I can't take mid 80's, even above 70 makes me uncomfortable. 40's and 50's are good . I hate the sun boring down on me, I always feel it's burning my hair, and face- even in winter. Overcast is just fine. Other than heat & humidity, I always head for the outdoors. I feel invigorated when its cool to cold and I love to see what's going on around me. It's not the same sitting inside looking out a window.

Sorry - I'm babbling and I can't shut up. Time for bed. Be back tomorrow.

Oh guys, you won't believe it.. My wry neck girl - I didn't have the chance to put her down yet, and thankfully I didn't - she is coming around!! :O I was in shock to see her with a full crop tonight, and she went and walked over for more right after. I am so impressed with her :) Yay!

Great to hear! I was wondering where you mentioned it in here that you were having troubles with her and I missed it. Funny how things work out sometimes! Nice to hear the good stories!
