We had a huge storm front come through here on Monday and this was one of the trees that came down in the garden.

It has certainly kept us busy, at least now the power is back on.

Incredible tree... Glad it didn't do any harm! I see that and my first thought is...'that tree would heat my house for 5 years!'

My first thought was ' run for the hills '. Lucky it missed the house, and it's lousy wood for burning. It will be next years bonfire. We have at least a dozen more down the back, but they are good stringy bark, perfect for the wood fire.

We had the rare cold white stuff here in SC a few weeks ago, so of course I took pictures of everything.

















And just for fun..my Anatolian, Kota, practicing for the not-yet-accepted Olympic sport of Cat Jumping! Butler, the cat, was not amused.
