lol...get them welsh ponies out of your head....
lol.png
.....and start raising some of these welsh sheep....lol. They are in need of help! Won't belong and they will all be 6 inches tall, 3 tails, 1 eye and have only one twig for a family tree!...

Sorry to hear about Snarf!...but sounds like she went to a good home! Hey, lets have a race to 399 pounds!!!....huh???..huh???? ...huh???....lol.
Oh, isn't he fashionable! LOL
I'd probably get fired if I started raising sheep also.

I think I may be testing my limits with all these chickens I have. lol Even though I got pretty much everyone hooked (myself included) on the Orpingtons after I brought home this blue rooster, Oliver. It was just supposed to be a new rooster for our mixed breed flock, that was all. BUT! I totally fell in love with the bird and the breed, so did my boss, who came up to me two days later and asked if we were hatching baby Orpingtons. LOL She thought he was magnificent. And he is. Well! Of course I had to have hens then...and bought 6 chicks. Looks like 5 of those are pullets.

I'm still having a hard time believing that, there's just no way I got that lucky....five pullets and only one cockerel. Anyway, so I'll be raising some blue Orpingtons now too. LOL Then I thought I would like to have some doves for the farm, something different....for people to see. lol Wait 'til I break in those news.

Here's Oliver. As soon as he molts his shredded feathers, I will take and show him.

Now that's the life of a pig!! Petunia would be jealous. I really have to go and take some pictures of her. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow.

Well, the plan was to get some nice pictures of Petunia today but she didn't agree with my plan.

First she wanted a belly rub.

Then she wanted to rest her head on my leg....

...for a long time.

She almost thought about posing.

Then I tried putting her in my yard, thinking she would be more active and stop following me around but that didn't work. She went right to eating.

So....there's Petunia the Teacup Pig. lol

Took a trip to the coast last week, and of course took mostly pictures of birds. Laughing gulls, brown pelicans, boat tailed grackles, fish crows, even a great blue heron were spotted, and photographed. It was also a good week for shark tooth fossil hunting, I found a good many right at the tide line.

WOW!!! Those are some wonderful shots.
Is that diving bird a Brown Pelican???

Dang! Almost makes me want to be a pig! They've got a blissful life there.

Very picturesque....

Thanks! Seems no matter what I'm looking at on youtube, I end up on vids of pigs living in confident situations. I feel sorry for them. I can't believe how much my pigs graze along like cattle when given the chance. I've been working on turning a hillside, that was named weed hill, into swine hill.

I started leash training yesterday. It went petty good.

Champ started his training, too! Champ is his papered name and I'm going with it for now anyway.

Oliver is a very beautiful rooster! I could use some of them! I see most hatcheries don't carry them. I'm getting ready to make a meatbird chick order well in advance for this fall and may add some other things to it....
lol.png
. Well, so far you've escaped having to go live in a van down by the river....lol...hopefully adding doves doesn't get you there....
lol.png
. Doves would be neat! I'm still trying to add mini donkeys and a llama to my critters this year...looking for the right ones at the right price. Great photos of Petunia! She looks like a very neat, happy, well cared for little pig! Funny how much pigs can be like dogs....I feel like they are anyway. Mine are always so happy to see me and love being scratched and follow me around and love to play...just like my dogs....
