Snow is awesome! He's got beautiful movement though my eyes are just that of a novice. I wish I had a place and the means for a horse. Someday but not right now. Oh wow please keep us up to date on him. :)

Agreed! Gorgeous boy! And I always love horses that can move without the need for a lunge line or whip behind them :)

Thanks guys.

We start all our young horses in the round pen. I love the ground work, plus it prepares them for the lunge line and makes that learning process easier for the youngsters.

I have babies!!

Actually, Big Bertha has babies. She's been broody for a good 3 weeks with no eggs.

I figured she earned herself some babies as a reward for all her hard work, so I drove for 2 hours just to get these little babies for her. lol Seriously though, I've tried to break her out of her broodiness with no luck, so babies it is. This is her first time raising chicks (also her first time being broody), I'm hoping she'll be a good mother. Introduction went very well, so I'm thinking it will all be alright. My Silkie hen got 4 chicks as well. She's on week 4 of being broody. And another 2 have now joined her. They're driving me nuts.

The black hen was super excited about her babies though! She's raised many, many chicks for me so I know she'll do just fine.

Bertha's first time meeting her children. She looks enormous...!

I'll get more pictures once everyone is fully settled.

Find the chicky! lol

Of course my blue Silkie hen (looks black) was super excited to have babies! She's never had babies before, but was hatched and raised by one of my best broody hens so I figured she would do well also. The splash pullet on the other hand..... She's a little confused. lol She's very young, and her first time being broody. I showed her the babies and she had no clue what they were, nor did she have interest. I'm hoping she'll snap out of it once mom & babies start moving around. lol

Little Easter Egger chick just for fun. Hoping it's a pullet so she can stay for a layer.

My beautiful bantam Sumatra, Blue! She's a little dark for her color but seems to be getting lighter as she ages. She's just a cutie.
