Our heifers calve in December and then cows start in January.

We just weaned a couple of weeks ago, then they start calving now until May/June.
It means, except our first timers, they can mostly manage on their own. We do give our young ones a bit more attention. I have noticed each farm seems to have their own flow.

Oh, my...totally wasn't awake enough to catch that! LOL...but that is the English Shepherd variety, large fowl and very broody!

We wont finish calving here till around the first week in May. Although almost all the cows are bagging up. We had the first calf in February and got the second calf two days ago. Bit the one that calved first wasnt bred here so who knows when she was actually bred. All we knew was that she and her sisters were bred for March.
