I know it would be a no-no for a show bird, but I would be doing a bit of trimming with the scissors to help out their peripheral vision if they were going to be out ranging in the open. Or maybe the Yorkie fountain hairdo....

(Not my picture)
I show mine so I won't trim their feathers. And I don't really have to worry about them because they don't get to free range, unfortunately. They're in a covered pen at all times, because I live (and work) on a non-profit farm and have daily visitors, so we can't really have the critters running around. Plus there are predators in the area.

I bet you have a beard 3 feet long by now, I do miss your photos from horseback. That was your trademark. Now I must go and hyperventilate into a brown paper bag. Hope you will stick around awhile. PLEASE!!!

Thanks! Those are llamas....I'm just getting into raising them and LOVE them! Awesome to be around everyday! I'm trying even harder than before to add more species here. I'm having a blast learning about them all! Lots more coming as I can get them..like mini donkeys, buffalo, camels, zebra and such....looking into more of the exotic stuff.

I hope all is well with you! I'll be going back through every thing this evening!
