How is your pig crop doing?
It's been good and I've learned a lot on them. I'm cutting way back on pigs though. I'm just going to have a couple sows around instead of what Ive been doing....just enough to have fun with them still and keep meat for the freezers going...and sell a few feeders. Also I have kind of a weeny beard right now...lol. Picks from the saddle coming. I'm about to start breaking a gelding and have been buying more cows that will need to be looked after a lot more....so lots more time in the saddle coming.

Beards are cool! Bring it on 3 . My son shaves his head - since he was bald early anyhow - it was a real jolt when I first saw it. But now he has a trimmed beard and I LOVE it!

I'm very impressed with the animals you plan to get but, what? No emus!!

When you get the camels and zebras you definitely have to post pictures of them. Beautiful animals you have now. I really like the cute kids, brooding ducks and goose I think is what the one is, Mandarin drake, and Wood drake.

But emus are very soft. The feathers are very unique. Two feathers come from one quill. Emus are very impressive. Did you know that ostriches and emus can swim too? Also there are three subspecies of emus.

Thanks Jadyn, I didn't know that about Emu feathers. I bet the folks that had them - didn't notice that either. Are you planning on getting some too!

lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   :weee

Thanks!  Those are llamas....I'm just getting into raising them and LOVE them! Awesome to be around everyday! I'm trying even harder than before to add more species here. I'm having a blast learning about them all!  Lots more coming as I can get them..like mini donkeys, buffalo, camels, zebra and such....looking into more of the exotic stuff.

I hope all is well with you!  I'll be going back through every thing this evening!

Amazing pictures!!!! I'm laughing at the first llama...adorable but the look on he/she's face is priceless! ("I am not amused" or something to that effect lol...)

I sort of would like some but at the same time I think that I shouldn't get one when older. Stick with peafowl, chickens, and ducks for birds.

The pictures are fantastic, these are my favorites! And the little drakes are gorgeous! I always wanted Mandarin ducks, but just don't have a place to put them. And now that I'll be moving to New York in about 2 months for a new job, I even have to sell my chickens.

Someday I'll have chickens again, and maybe ducks. This job is way worth it and I'm super excited!
