I have still yet to work with dark pictures like this. Mine never turn out well.. What gorgeous pictures!

Thank you! I don't know anything about cameras. There is lots of things I want in my next one, but don't know what to look for. It'll be awhile before I ever get to get another one though. My camera hates low light and most of my pics are blurry as heck at that time of day. It will take a somewhat clear one every once in awhile.

Yes. But to be a great photographer, you also need a good camera.
Some great and successful photographers have old even almost archaic cameras that would not even be thought of as "good cameras" today. It is much more about perspective, light control, composition. I have gotten just as awesome shots from my husbands $100 p&s camera as with my $600 body w/ $800 lens nikon.

You may get a good shot, but once you try to get close to the image, it won't be near the quality. But again, sometimes you will. You'll just get a lot more better shots with a higher end camera.

I've gotten REALLY nice shots from an iPhone. A lot of it is in the lighting :)
