I've been missing out! My laptop died about 2 weeks ago...and no internet, of course!

Now I have a 'loaner' until I buy a new one. Of course all my pictures are on the old one that's DEAD!

I think I can still get them out of there..I hope.

I was going to say they look lost and are trying to decide which way to go, but it might be more like they hear some one making a ruckus but can't see them or quite understand what it is to me...lol. Cute picture! Sorry to hear about Mo!....that sucks!
Yes, little Mo and Curly were a little lost, I think. It was one of the first times I let them free range and they looked very confused. lol

on the propane tank

I opened the door to my truck and....

This is farm related right??? ...HA I just posted these pics on a ranching site showing off my new chore'n tractor and how easy it is to work on...to be dumb.....

(messin' with the self timer button on the camera...lol. )

That Jax is quite a crafty little guy, huh?
lol.png
And that tractor of yours!! We need a couple of them around here also!

I could drive one around the farm and keep an eye on our workers. lol They like to slack around...

Beautiful.

The dirt on this little boys back just makes the picture. He must have had a good roll in some dirt? lol

Makes me want to get a goat of my own. We have some here at the farm, most of them are rescues, all different breeds.
Love it how they come running after you. That's what my chickens look like when they see me coming.
lau.gif
Cracks me up every time.

My dirty little silkie thinks she is a duck!
lol.png
Wow! lol My silkies like to splash around in water but not that much water. That's one hardcore swimmer silkie right there!

original...

then my clear a tad, darken a tad process on just the windows editer on my computer

then the dusk feature on picmonkey....
Now this is just my personal opinion, doesn't mean that everyone should do this... But! Have you ever tried sharpening only the chicken in the picture and not the background? That way the subject in the shot will stand out more than the background. Like the second picture, the background is so sharp that my eye went to the wall first then the chicken. But! After you added the dusk feature, it looks totally different again. I like it. When I get a new laptop I'll get all my picture editing programs running again. Now I can't do crap.

Sooooo frustrating.

I love the red saddle pad!

I do this often.. I'll also add more blur to the background just because.. I like the way it looks. Makes the subject stand out. :) This is nothing against 3acre's picture. I like it just the way it is.

I'm pretty sure cameras have settings that will blur out the background also, but I'm not smart enough to have figured out how to do this yet.

Occasionally I accidentally get pictures like this.
What kind of a turkey is that? Those white ones are very pretty. We have two females that supposedly are bourbon reds (only turkey breed I know! lol) but they don't really look like bourbon reds. I bet they're mixes.. I'd like to get one of those white males.

My FIL explained the technical terms to me one time.. I use manual. It seems to do it automatically if I focus the right way. But still, I end up doing little things like that to certain pictures that did not come out just right.

He was a Royal Palm. I miss him a lot.

I use the manual setting also. Some day I'll try to figure out what all these F-stops and such mean and how it all really works.

Royal Palms are very pretty. Maybe I can talk the boss into letting us have one, I think the girls should have a boyfriend. lol
This is what our old guy Joe looked like. He passed away recently. I don't know how old he was exactly but he was OLD.

The lower the aperture is, the smaller the plane on focus is. If you shoot at f/2.8 you'll have more blur than shooting at f/5 for instance. Here are some pictures from part of a tutorial I posted on another forum that help explain/show the difference :)
