Yes, I'm raising the Californians for meat. I was going to raise lops and lionheads for pets. I ended up with 2 male lionheads and my female lop up and disappeared before I could find the male I wanted. The market around here may be flooded with pet rabbits anyway according to my craigslist studies, so I am just going to raise meat rabbits. I questioned whether I could do the deed on rabbits, but I found out I can and it is not that bad when considering the big picture I am trying to paint.

Are your goats Pygmys? I am wanting for my kids. I have about 30 does to kid any time to May I can't want.

I bought 4 goats. ..all sold to me as Pygmy's. After getting them and researching true Pygmy goat colors and confirmation, technically I think they must have Nigerian Dwarf in them. I enjoy them a lot! I think my does are around 18 or 19 inches at the withers and my buck a little bigger than them.

Cool we raise rabbits too. I sold over 100 bunnies last yr. What we do is I have mostly meat rabbits but I have a few pet rabbits. We sell the pet baby rabbits and that pays for feed and every thing else then we have FREE meat!!! We even make money doing that and we sell some meat to friends. I like the look of your goats I like both breed cause they are small but out here they would get eaten. We saw a black panther on our back 20 last week and have been kicking my self for not having a camera

I have Boar and milk goats and 2 guard donks. CUTE lil things !!!

Then there is the Guardian of the Ranch. He likes playing with Coyotes, Raccoons, and other predators, but he plays too ruff, and they perish quickly.

I know you guys are experiencing the winter from hell, but I've been out early to get some pics of the garden. The apples and plums are almost ready for harvest and today is going to be another scorcher. I could smell bushfires at sun up. It's long weekend here, praying for rain.
