Farm Related Photography. Pictures are the best Advertisement!

Wow - never knew owls could be so large. Have seen Kestrels often out here and sometimes a bigger hawk(?) - don't know what kind. Mostly they just hop down from a telephone pole and polish off some cardinal or sparrow. Never saw them make an aerial dive.

These two are really, really nice! It's amazing how turning a picture black and white can make something like this boot and the laces look beautiful.

Not exactly farm related, but I wanted to share these pictures I took-I visited the Center for Birds of Prey near Charleston, SC. I am fascinated with the often misunderstood raptors, and it was great to see them up close and personal, and it was awesome to see them flying on command-the black vulture seemed the friendliest and most eager to please. This center is the largest of its kind in the nation, so many raptors of so many species. If you are in the area, I would recommend a visit.

Those were all some great pictures but these two are stunning, especially the owl. I love the color of it's eye.
Reminded me of this night heron I photographed while visiting my uncle in Arizona.

This is one of our PMU rescues, 3 year old gelding Tegan with his proud "sponsor mom" in the round pen for the first time.

Then there's the little "Fat Boy", Race Car and his "mother". lol

Race Car has the most beautiful tail. All other horses are envious.

Some people probably are too. lol

And the world's bestest barn kitty, CD! No one really knows how old she is. She's been around ever since our founder moved to the farm...which was 12-13 years ago, and CD definitely wasn't a kitten back then. She is the best!

And our official greeter, Spitfire. She greets every one of the visitors right at this corner of her paddock. lol Lucky for her (or us) her paddock is right where visitors park their cars and Spitfire is the first thing they see.
