Lol aww I love the pics too. As I write this my little Luna is currently trying to bring down the house she can't decided if she wants living or to climb the walls lol so its run to Mommy back to terrorize the living room. Back and forth, back and forth. Lucky she's so cute. She's quite the little stinker. Better go see what she's into and then off to bed I go. Was up late finishing my entry for the Halloween hatch-a-long chicken costume contest. Sadly my subject wasn't thrilled with the whole idea. But she was a good sport and I at least got to enter. Stupidly though I made the costume way too big for her lol oh well. Go check it out everyone all the Halloween contests will be done tomorrow I think but they're great and a lot of fun to see all the entries.

I still really love that silkie cross hen. She is so pretty and uniquely colored.
Thank you!
She is an awesome broody, 4 years old now. She is incredibly easy to photograph, she just never seems to have a bad side...love when she has littles!

She is a real looker, and so adorable with chickies. Love the dog too.

Thank you! the dog is Dillon, he is an English Shepherd, he is actually the nephew of the sable dog who is frequently in my pictures with chicks, Mindy.

You will appreciate the origin of his name...he was named for marshal Dillon of Gunsmoke, a favorite radioshow of my husband and I...XM radio airs classic radio shows and we love listening to them on road trips.

Is that broody perhaps crossed with a silver pencilled rock? Or am I wrong about her coloring? She's stunning I'll take one just like her ;)

She could be a silver pencil and silkie mix but we can never know for sure. We raise SPRs, so we know the feather pattern, but she was gotten at a location where there were not any SPRs when we found her. That certainly doesn't rule them out though, since the person who had her didn't know anything about what different breeds she had and many of her birds either starved or were taken by predators on a regular basis and she would just get some more at a feed mill and let them loose to fend for themselves. Poor conditions doesn't begin to describe it...
