Okay so at the San Luis Obispo mission in, well, San Luis Obispo (Local californians call it SLO for short) at each mass beginning, they ring the church bells, all differing depending on what religious week we are in. Here is the song during lent. when the video is over, click on the suggestion that says "The Bells of Mission San Luis Obispo" i met the woman who does the ringing, and i've been up there, quite amazing.

Wow that's beautiful! I wish my church looked like that!! And the churches with bells here don't even ring them :(

well that is sad. even the little baptist church in the old part of town rings their bells. It is lovely to here in the early morning and on our way to school. Heck, even our school uses old bells from the historic school house across the street!
maybe one day you can put together a fund raiser or even do it yourself to get those bells ringing.

My gosh, that's beautiful!! My church only has one big bell. I've been up there in the steeple and I rang the bells. Amazing, even though you have to pull with all your strength.
 
I know! she (bell ringer) let some of the older kids try and even the college guy had issues. I actually LISTENED to her advise and i had less trouble with them, but still had trouble lol.

Speaking of which, my dad and i want to build a capola above our entry way and make that our door bell. People who visit would have to pull the rope and ring the 400 pound bell.
here is the bell we are getting.
