I had my first today, the Welsummer hen, Martha laid it this morning. No bigger than a quail egg and very dark in color, but it was just like a regular egg inside, with a yolk and white. Not sure why this happened, she's been laying normal eggs since October...

I got one that had a swirl on top kind of like a Dairy Queen cone! It was very soft, but had a yolk. I cooked it and gave it to the chickens.
